"Give a Day. Get a Disney Day."
As our nation is recognizing volunteerism as a pathway to solving some of our most pressing issues, Volunteer Macon and the Hands On Network invite you to participate in the "Give A Day. Get A Disney Day" program which truly celebrates our vision of service. Starting January 1, 2010, guests can go to www.disneyparks.com to search for volunteer opportunities made available through our electronic database and sign up for a day of service. Once the service is completed and confirmation of hours worked is documented, volunteers will receive a certificate to use at one of the Disney theme parks. VOLUNTEERS MUST GO THROUGH THE DISNEY WEBSITE TO CHOOSE & SIGN UP FOR AN OPPORTUNITY! For more information or questions, please contact Susan Baldschun at sbaldschun@gmail.com.
First Give A Day volunteers at Disney World are from Volunteer Macon!
Hello,
I just wanted to share a quick picture of us and to let you know that we are going to send a more formal “thank you” to Hands on Macon and to the Disney program. The attached picture is our group with our race medals and our volunteer pins on in front of Disney World on Monday.
First, the customer service individuals at Disney stated we were her “first” volunteers to come through….she clapped and retrieved our “Honorary Volunteer” pins. Throughout the day, Disney employees thanked us and we were hooked up with small benefits….free ice cream! We had an amazing day at Disney and we were so happy that we had the opportunity to partake in this program.
Thank you so much for all your help! Karly
